Welcome to our Do It Yourself (DIY) page!

Here you'll find posts about how to make some of your own household, beauty, and food products! Making your own can not only eliminate the need for wasteful packaging, but often times the product itself is actually better for you & the environment if you make it yourself. A common example is a soft scrub cleaner for bathrooms, tile, and toilets that usually comes in a plastic spray bottle or aerosol can. So we tried out a simple recipe by Doterra and made our own using all natural ingredients!

Ingredients

3/4 cup baking soda

1/4 cup unscented liquid castile soap

1 tbsp water

1 tbsp vinegar

5-10 drops of essential oil...we used lemon and lime

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine baking soda and castile soap.

2. Add water and stir.

3. Add vinegar and essential oils and stir. The consistency should be a soft paste.

4. Store in an air tight container

5. To use, apply the soft scrub directly to the surface of your toilet bowl, bath tile or kitchen sink. Using a wet cloth or sponge, scrub the area to clean.
